Dr Delphine Meffre is Associate professor in Cell biology and Neurosciences at the Faculty of Basic and Biomedical Sciences of Université Paris Cité. Her current research is focused on myelination and remyelination processes of the central nervous system. She is a member of the steering committee of the Institute of Neuroscience and Cognition.

Education

BSc & MSc in Neuroscience from Sorbonne Université, PhD in Neurosciences from Université Paris Sud on the neuroprotective role of progesterone upon brain injury; HDR from Université Paris Descartes on protection and repair in the central nervous system.

Research interests

  • New therapeutic strategies for myelin repair after central nervous system damage,
  • Demyelination and remyelination processes in diseases (multiple sclerosis) or after brain injury,
  • toxic- and mechanical-induced injury models developed in vitro (oligodendroglial cells), ex vivo (organotypic cultures) and in vivo.

Teaching

Neurosciences, Cell biology and Developmental biology for L1 to M2 students at Université Paris Cité.

Co-Chair of the international Master’s program in Neuroscience and M1 co-chair
Co-Coordinator of the Neuroscience Graduate School
Co-Chair for 5 UE from Licence 1 to Master 2
Chair of the Université Ouverte program in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science.
